Vintage Oldsmobile Auto Graphics, 1951-1954

This is part of my collection of ads from 1951 to 1954.

These years are significant for development of stronger engines and more electrical convenience options. 12V electrical power systems were introduced. Power steering, air condition and power breaks became available on some models in these years. V8 engines became popular powerplants - 6 cylinder engines were a sign for an obsolete design in those days. Fuel consumption was not a (major) concern at that time.
