Sunset and Vine Streets (ca.1955) - Hollywood CA

The location for the following two cards is the junction Sunset and Vine Street in Hollywood CA. I assume the photo was taken around 1955. The black car in the foreground is a Packard convertible. Click on image to enlarge the picture. - Can you identify the white car? Seems like it was already 20 years old when the picture was taken!

The second post card shows exactly the same location, but obviously a few years earlier! (I apologize for the low contrast!) We can again identify the NBC building on the right.
