The second half of the fifties brought more colorful cars to the show room: Two tone (and three tone) paint schemes became fashionable. Interior upholstery was created in more flashy colors, too.
Air condition became an option towards the end of the 50’s. Before, this option was only available in selected cars and was sold as very expansive equipment.
“Rocket’s” engine horse power became major advertising topic, together with the ‘Smooth Ride’ and -again-Oldsmobile’s Hydramatic drive.
